Coach Leak, played for the New Rochelle Knights from their inaugural season through 2021, finishing his time with the team after his senior year of high school. He continued his baseball career at Dominican University, where he was a four-year starting pitcher and a two-year team captain. After college, Coach Leak signed with the New Jersey Jackals.

Today, he continues to coach with the New Rochelle Knights during the offseason and in his spare time—driven by his passion for the game and his love for the Knights program.

As a coach, he believes the most important lesson for young athletes is that consistent hard work leads to real results. His goal is to create a positive, individualized environment where players can develop based on their unique strengths rather than being molded into a single style. He focuses on helping each athlete learn to use their body effectively and efficiently to reach their full potential.

“It’s pretty cool coming from this program and then getting the chance to play college and professional baseball,” Coach Leak says. “I’m fortunate to have had the Knights help me along the way. When I played at the end of high school, I was lucky enough to have my younger brother—also a Knight—catch for me, and that was just cool as hell.”
